10 Tips for Designing for Wide-Format & Display Graphics

Wide-format printing is quickly becoming one of the hottest printing applications available for marketers. From designing trade show banners to creating branded window graphics, wide format (or large format) printing can help you tell your brand story in a big way.

What is wide-format printing and what types of printing can I do?

Wide-format printers have the capability to print on various substrates including coroplast, vinyl, foamcore, PVC (and many more!) with a width between 17″ and 100″. Printers with a print width of over 100″ are generally referred to Super-Wide or Grand format. Using rolled substrates (or non-rigid substrates) as opposed to individual sheets, wide format provides the capability of producing very large scale banners and promotional materials.

Types of wide-format printing include:

  • Indoor and Outdoor Signage
  • Banners (including pop up and retractable banners/stands)
  • Trade Show Graphics
  • Magnetic Signs
  • Window Decals
  • Fleet Graphics/Vehicle Wraps and Much More!
